Support local business and fan favorite Tay's Burger Shack

After opening in North Kansas City and gaining a local cult following for freshly made products, Tay's Burger Shack added a new location in Overland Park, KS in March 2020. Named one of Kansas City's 5 Best Burgers by KMBC Channel 9, their take out and drive thru has been busy during the recent COVID-19 quarantine and dining rooms are re-opening as "stay-at-home" mandates are being lifted.

“We’re still always working to improve the quality of the burger. We source our meat from cattle in Missouri. They’re all grass-fed and organic. The taste is so earthy, and it’s so good," said Kent Harrison, owner of Tay’s Burger Shack.

New fast-casual restaurant concept opens in Kansas City

Crushed Red, Urban Bake & Chop Shop opened its first store in Overland Park, KS on Roe Avenue, just north of I-435. The St. Louis based restaurant opened in 2012 and offers chopped-to-order salads and hand stretched pizzas. The store brings a "fast and fresh" philosophy of artisan, healthy, organic food while being environmentally aware and responsible to the area. The chain is planning expansion throughout the Midwest and other various areas of the country. "This concept is a great fit for our area. We are excited to help them expand throughout the Kansas City market and know consumers will be excited as well," said Jared Frost, Principal, Point Commercial.

Planet Fitness continues to take some big spaces

Point Commercial is pleased to broker a 29,00 sq. ft. Planet Fitness in Olathe, KS in January 2018. Previously, Point handled the deal of a 28,505 sq. ft. club in Shawnee, KS, located at the northeast corner of Shawnee Mission Pkwy & Pflumm. That Planet Fitness was the largest retail lease deal signed in the entire town of Shawnee in 2015.
